Sportsman’s Hall has been serving the traveling public since the 1850’s.

Historic Trail marker, east corner of Sportsman's parking lot.

A note from a traveler, 1863.

We are open!

Please join us for a delicious meal at Sportsman’s Hall.

Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday: 8:00 am to 8:00 pm.

Closed on Monday and Tuesday.

Once upon a time it was a hotel, a stage stop, and a Pony Express stop. There was a lumber mill on the site at one time too.

Always, there was good food. Moon and Amy Shim, owners of this fabled and historic restaurant, continue the tradition of delicious food for visitors. Part of the original building still stands, hand hewn beams and all, in the large, open dining area.

Moon and Amy also own and operate the Diamond Springs Hotel, another historic building which is also a part of the history of El Dorado County.

Come to Pollock Pines, stop in, enjoy a meal, find out what good food in the mountains really tastes like, as Sportsman’s Hall continues to make history.
